These images are designed
to be looked 'as' rather than 'at'. They both represent
states of transcendent being and help to induce them. When
looked at for some time the 2D nature of the image seems to
acquire a third dimension of depth. This occurs if one has
attained a certain 'emptiness' of mind and can be most
readily achieved by looking through the image rather than at
its surface. As forms they consist of heads and figures in a
simultaneous variety of yogic postures with particular
concern given to eyes, mouths and nostrils. In studying them
one's sight naturally concentrates on the central point
between the eyes, and it is on this same point in one's own
head that one should concentrate when looking at the
images. See Online
