Futures ICA
In 1994
Hex were invited to contribute to the 'Terminal Futures'
Festival at the ICA Gallery in London. The installation in
the Cinema consisted of a mouse on a console in front of a
large projection screen. The mouse was connected to a PC
which was running a set of real-time 3D animations which
users could manipulate. At the same time ambient music was
being piped into the room by DJ's sucha s Open Mind, DJ Food
and Coldcut. Robert Pepperell produced a number of UV
banners and illuminated slogan signs such as "The Future
Never Arrives". During the festival Robert Pepperell joined
a panel of industry experts to discuss the future of
electronic entertainment. Above
