LONDON AQUARIUM INTERACTIVE
AQUASPHERE Within the diverse
tranquillity of the Aquarium you will come across the
Interactive Aquasphere. The piece commissioned in 1998 is an
interactive sound and video installation that allows the
viewer/s to become immersed in a denizen of the deep
experience. There is a choice of 27
different glimpses of life underwater, each touch of a
button selects via a CDi system a combined video and sound
track such as; Mermaids, Neptune God of the sea, Atlantis,
3-D modelled animated prehistoric fish and hybrids of man
and fish, to list but a few. The Aquasphere a 25
screened wall of moving imagery gives the impression of a
sphere 10 feet in diameter. Viewers are invited to submerse
themselves in the sphere for optimum effect. This
interactive multi-faceted piece is a permanent installation
