These elements are the make up of the planet. The installation "Natural Phenomena" evokes an intense and heightened sensation of these core elements by which we are born into, which we breathe, live and die. Fire and light sustain us with growth and survival, our beings receive and radiate energy, vibration, light, electricity, whatever one will call it, we interact with light particles that surround us. They and we are receptive by every movement and breath that is taken.
An existence with another kind of matter, ether. On a universal level this is described by Einstein in Ether and the theory of relativityš, in which he connects elasticity, vibration, gravitational ether and electromagnetic field . The ether of the general theory of relativity is a medium which is itself devoid of all mechanical and kinematic qualities, but helps to determine mechanical and electromagnetic events. The theoretical physics, by Einstein, Lorentz and the mathematician H. Weyl of quantum theory, ether, space-time, matter, vibration, electromagnetic field, gravitational pull and the relation between the elements of our universe with effect and cause on us humans and the planet Earth remain as equations on paper to the mass population, yet we live on this planet and experience the effects of these theories everyday. To what extent does one feel or even notice moving particles of light, or vibrations between plants, animals or humans? We are surrounded by ether, originally a medium assumed to permeate space and fill the intersection between particles of matter, it is invisible.
Natural Phenomena: The Installation.
A being of light appears, made of thousands of fibre optic strands, viewers and an interactive console behind the screen have a direct connection with the entity. Ether is represented through red illuminated dust particles filling the invisible space. A mesmerising soundtrack with samples from the wind and cosmic resonance captured from air pipes, circulate within the space. Beyond our physical appearance of bodily form we are pure energy and light and are part of nature, the universe and the cosmos, how, unless you are a physicist can equations on paper represent invisibility and indivisibility. Strong attunement and connection to nature and light with belief of vibration between all living things is proof that an unquestionable energy, similar or the same as ether is surrounding and living within us.
